Mets Trade for Billy Hamilton

The Mets have just acquired a MAJOR source of speed.

The Mets have traded RHP Jordan Humphreys, (who they recently designated for assignment) to the Giants for Hamilton.

The problem for Hamilton, as we know is getting on base. But once he’s there, it’s pretty much assumed he’s going to steal.

His next swiped bag will give him 300 for his career.

Hamilton is a terrific defender. He’s mainly played in center field throughout his career.

Interesting!

Hamilton was a free agent when the Mets traded for Jake Marisnick. Mets have now traded for two fourth outfielders this season.

More Mets roster moves:

The team activated Jared Hughes, optioned Franklyn Kilome and transferred Jed Lowrie to the 45-day DL.
