Back-to-back Cy Young award winner, Jacob deGrom, just topped MLB Network’s list of starting pitchers. The list is generated by “The Shredder” which is a player rating formula based on the last two seasons worth of statistics.
Some other familiar names have popped up on these “Top Ten” lists this off-season. Pete Alonso, Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo and Wilson Ramos have also been recognized as some of the league’s best at their respective positions.
It should really come as no surprise after deGrom won consecutive Cy Young awards, but it’s definitely nice to see.
