QUESTION: Who was the first Mets player to start in an All-Star game?

 

ANSWER: Ron Hunt. Hunt was the first Met to start in an All-Star game, oddly enough, in 1964 at Shea Stadium. Grote was the second Met to start a game, in 1968.
