Hello Travis d’Arnaud. Goodbye Tomas Nido.
After an extended spring training of sorts, Travis d’Arnaud has been activated from the Injured List, (still not used to saying this instead of disabled list) and will be on the bench today for the series finale against the Washington Nationals.
D’Arnaud missed the majority of the 2018 season after tearing his Ulnar Collateral Ligament and undergoing Tommy John surgery. This will be the catcher’s first major league game action since April.
Tomas Nido has been sent to Triple A Syracuse (still not used to saying this either) to make room for d’Arnaud.
