Juan Lagares has bulked up this winter, and has chronicled his progress on social media for the world to see.
Lagares has been with the Mets since 2013, so to say he’s seen a lot of injuries would be an understatement.
Year in and year out, the Mets have dealt with a seemingly endless series of injuries. It’s become a running joke around the league, and fans of the team have almost grown numb to it.
Look at our Gold Glove winner, though.
Seriously. Check out the photo I’ve posted above.
As someone is lying on the floor, directly behind him writhing in agony, Juan calmly poses for a photo. Playing for this team has completely desensitized him.
I can almost imagine Carlos Beltran and Mike Cameron colliding in the outfield, while Lagares stands there, nonchalantly chewing gum and adjusting his glove.
I’m just kidding btw.
The man on the floor seems to be doing some sort of exercise.
This is funnier though.
