Ugh.
Let’s just talk about what we know.
Met manager, Luis Rojas, told reporters that Carlos Carrasco is dealing with some soreness in his elbow. Rojas added, “it’s nothing too concerning,” saying that it’s something he’s experienced throughout his career.
Carrasco will rest for a few days and then will resume throwing live batting practice.
It was revealed yesterday that the Mets had decided to get Carrasco ready for the regular season by just throwing batting practice and not appearing in games.
I thought that was very bizarre.
With these latest developments, there’s a very real chance Carrasco isn’t ready by Opening Day.
