So, the Mets are buyers?
Or is this just one purchase before they start selling?
What we do know for certain, is that the Mets have acquired starting pitcher Marcus Stroman in a deal with the Toronto Blue Jays, reuniting the Long Island native with Steven Matz.
Stroman, 28, is under team control through the 2020 season. In 20 starts this year, he’s compiled a 3.06 ERA (148 ERA+) and 2.74 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
I don’t want to speculate. As of right now we don’t know what the Mets are giving up in this exchange. So, I’ll leave it at that for now and come back with all the particulars and my take on everything.
