Hey there.
Baseball is around the corner! Before you know it, pitchers and catchers will be reporting.
There are still many unsigned free agents, and Brodie still may have a few tricks up his sleeve. Could be an exciting month!

Bryce Harper saw his shadow, which means we’re having six more weeks of free agency

So many of us Rosario fans have been waiting for him to become the elite upper echelon player offensively and defensively in the majors. Still only 23 years old but hey hes got the experience under his belt at this point. It’s time. https://t.co/L0ofZVX2sp

If you want baseball teams to operate like hedge funds, then MLB should not be given anti-trust exemptions and stadiums funded by taxpayers.

I didn’t used to like baseball but now relievers have to pitch to 3 consecutive batters so I’m a fan.

Remember when some of you were willing to trade Conforto, Nimmo, or Rosario for Realmuto?
— Rey Brutal (@ReyBrutal) February 7, 2019
MLB putting Vlad Jr. on this list while the Blue Jays are still pretending he’s not ready is just so beautiful. https://t.co/lu8t0yLhxW

BVW: *slaps roof of dugout* this bad boy can fit so much depth in it pic.twitter.com/ovys5W0Uco

I know he’s shown flashes of being a very good major leaguer, but I believe that Michael Conforto puts together 5/6 WAR season in 2019.

PSA: I’m unfollowing anyone I see slandering Jacob deGrom. 2.67 ERA over ~900 IP, good for 27+ wins. Just won a CYA off an all time great year. Never came close to having a bad season. Career earnings have been under $13M.
Pay this man his 5/150 https://t.co/pkSZ5MCny5

Imagine how wild this would have been 10 years ago. Or five years ago. (Or a year ago?)
— Tim Healey (@timbhealey) February 13, 2019
The Mets literally hired deGrom’s former agent as their general manager and they’re still not going to extend him. Unbelievable. https://t.co/1trMuBiBdY

Jose Reyes and Jose Bautista had 900 AB’s for the Mets last year- they batted .189 and .204. with a total of 13 Hr’s and 53 RBI’s….this really happened.

Peter Alonso says he shed 12 pounds this winter in an attempt to impress the Mets. “I wanted to show up looking good” Alonso said, “looking like I was ready to go.”
He added: “I want to force someone’s hand. I want to come in here and be the best option.”

Rob Manfred: “ … because I am literally appointed by the owners and paid millions of dollars to look the other way.” https://t.co/cwqK2RZOvI

The best part of the 2019 Mets season is that Jose Reyes won’t be on the roster

Can someone explain to me how Adeiny Hechevarria isn’t a more expensive, worse, lower upside version of Luis Guillorme? #mets

What level of cognitive dissonance is necessary to have a “Sell the Team” avatar, but also complain about “selfish players?”
— Rey Brutal (@ReyBrutal) February 20, 2019
I’m so ready to get hurt again by the Mets
— Ryan (@RCrowll) February 22, 2019
If he accepts a reserve contract, the Mets are boneheads for not going after him and getting Hecavarria.
Iglesas while not a Superstar is a far supperior player to Hecavarria both offensively and Defensively

So the New York Mets play a baseball game today

Jacob deGrom gives up one lousy run in the first, gets saddled with loss as Mets don't score for him.
— Greg Prince (@greg_prince) February 24, 2019
Jacob deGrom's first pitch of spring: 97 mph.
Noah Syndergaard's first pitch of spring: 98 mph.
"That's who these guys are," Mickey Callaway said yesterday. "You try to pull the reins back on them, but they're like wild horses, man. They're gonna go."
— Anthony DiComo (@AnthonyDiComo) February 25, 2019
It’s not severe but we are going to fly Todd 1000 miles to have a cortisone shot because we have no way to do this where we train for 6 weeks every year and plan to train for the next 30 years.

Or just pay Jason Vargas 2 year/$16M https://t.co/odeSbYqmf4
— MetsKevin11 (@MetsKevin11) February 28, 2019
I agree the Mets need depth and Gio on a cheap deal makes a ton of sense.
But citing his career ERA at Citi…stats padded when 1.) He was a much better pitcher than he is now and 2.) against lineups that were horrifically bad, is just idiotic.
