Where does the time go?
We leave May behind and bring you the best of #MetsTwitter from the month of June.

This is what Citi Field should look like every game. It’s the only thing the Wilpons react to. https://t.co/1rvDQwR77T

I don’t care if the #Mets lose every game left in the season. I do care about @Mets Sandy Alderson’s health. One thing baseball and life have in common is that there are no guarantees so you have to fight to win. I wish him the best of his luck with his cancer fight and #LGM.

Luis Guillorme took responsibility for his poor plays today instead of acting like Reyes in whining about the position he is playing and saying his manager has not given him a chance to succeed.
Maybe Guillorme should be the mentor in the clubhouse.

FWIW – I'm still absolutely signing deGrom to an extension, not trading him.

The #Mets have scored more runs tonight than they did in deGrom’s last eight starts combined.

BRANDON NIMMO! A go-ahead, 2-run home run with two outs in the ninth! That’s his 10th HR of the season, & his 2nd XBH of the game.

Welcome to New York, @JKelenic_1019!
We have signed outfielder Jarred Kelenic from Waukesha West High School (WI), the sixth overall pick in the first-round of the 2018 #MLBDraft. Kelenic will be assigned to the rookie-level Gulf Coast #Mets. pic.twitter.com/EUqIMTkuYd

One of my favorite things to look for after every Mets loss is how the MLB App homepage spins the L
“Sewald gets to 0-2 on two batters but Mets come up short 8-2”
“Bruce draws a 2nd inning walk but Marlins skip by Mets 5-0”

Only fourteen times this year has a starting pitcher posted the following stats in a start:
– at least 6 innings
– 0 runs
– 0 walks
– 2 hits or lessIncluded: Scherzer, McCullers, Cueto (twice), Porcello, Wood.
& Seth Lugo.#Mets #LGM @MetsMerized

After tonight’s game we have given Adrián González his unconditional release. On Tuesday, we will designate catcher Jose Lobaton for assignment, will recall Dominic Smith from Las Vegas and will select the contract of Ty Kelly from Las Vegas. #Mets

Omg the Mets literally ran out of fireworks and are just playing music.
YOU CAN NOT MAKE THIS FRANCHISE UP.
— Jake Brown (@JakeBrownRadio) June 10, 2018
The #Mets should be ashamed of themselves. DeGrom has a 1.15 ERA in his 10 starts. Should the score hold, the team will be 2-8 in those starts. That’s like, go hide because its so embarrassing.

By my count, there are just two reasons to watch the Mets these days. The first one is Jacob deGrom and I missed him.
So I’m watching for the other reason: because i hate myself.

Mickey Callaway double-switched José Reyes into this game so that Paul Sewald could pitch multiple innings.
Reyes is 0-1 and extended the inning by not making a play and Sewald gave up 6 runs (4 of them charged to him). #Mets
