April is here.
The regular season is now underway, which makes me very happy. #metstwitter makes me very happy as well so here are the best tweets of April.
#Mets finish April 17-9. They improved their run differential from +2 to +14 with their win today. Despite the recent struggles, I’ll take it.

Matt Harvey is throwing 92 MPH fastballs out of the bullpen. If you think his mindset is the reason for it, you’re insane. #Mets

Noah Syndergaard’s final line:
7.1 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, 101 pitches. He’ll receive a no decision.
This season, his K/BB ratio is an insane 46/5#LGM pic.twitter.com/0EGIQCxLCp

*Three weeks later*
“As with Matt Harvey, Zack Wheeler, Steven Matz, Seth Lugo, and Robert Gsellman, Mickey Callaway won’t commit to another start for Jason Vargas. But he says the Mets “won’t make any rash decisions.’” https://t.co/9EN7CWaNND

GM all you little Tweetsters out there! Big win last night. Bullpen outstanding. Gsellman & Sewald continue to grow with every outing. It’s so much fun to watch them believing in themselves. Both came in with the game in the balance and they handled it as if they were 10 year

Well, I’ll never forget how electric Harvey was in 2012 and 13.

I wonder if, instead of Jose Reyes in that spot, Mickey Callaway would’ve been better off going with literally anyone else who has ever held a baseball bat.

deGrom pitched deBest game of deSeason for deMets, and even had deSafety Squeeze to bring in one of deInsurance runs, but deBullpen blew deLead and deMets lost deGame.

This is the first time in franchise history the Mets have won five consecutive series to open a season. Despite last night’s loss, the Mets’ 12-2 record is still the best 14-game start in team history.

A little pre-game gorge on King Cones. That’s your beloved Gary Cohen on left, yours truly, our Fearless Leader & producer, Gregg Picker, & Monsieur Ron Darling. I’m working out tomorrow so don’t worry. pic.twitter.com/1l02Cp3jCV

The #Mets are 10 games over .500.
It’s April 13.

Only four managers have started 9-1 or better in a new tenure since 1900: Joe Morgan, Pat Moran, Alex Cora and Mickey Callaway. Morgan started 10-0 with Boston in 1988.

The @Mets have started 9-1 for the first time ever. Now that’s amazin’. pic.twitter.com/q4bbUczUPA

I know it’s spring… and hope springs eternal… and it’s a long season… BUT count me in as someone who believes the NY @Mets can continue to impress. I have family members who are diehard Mets fans, and I have a soft spot in my own heart for the Amazin’s. #LetsGoMets

The Mets didn’t lose on Sunday.
They also won a game when they had a chance to sweep their opponent.

Jeurys Familia, who recorded a five-out save in the Mets' 3-2 victory at Nationals Park: "I think this is one of the biggest saves I've had in the last couple of years and I feel good."
— Mike Puma (@NYPost_Mets) April 7, 2018
You could definitely say that Opening Day for the Nationals had a playoff like atmosphere which probably explains the loss.

BREAKING: Probably the best thing to happen to #Mets fans since they won the pennant in 2015. You can now buy Official Keith Hernandez apparel! My personal favorite is probably Keith & Hadji on headset, but it’s hard to choose just one.https://t.co/2QiKnnFleY

Michael Conforto is heading to New York, the Mets say, presumably for an evaluation. Sandy Alderson said the team will decide early this week if Conforto will require a rehab assignment, or can come straight to the Majors when eligible Thursday.
